If you’re as respected in the fashion world as style queen Olivia Palermo, then you can be brave enough to walk the fashion plank and ignore the old navy and black rule.
The former The City reality star stunned onlookers when she joined the FROW at Christian Dior’s Fall 2012 Haute Couture show yesterday, teaming her navy Tibi shorts with a super chic black leather peplum top.
And the world renowned fashionista couldn’t have cared less about the navy and black pairing myth, rocking her stylish look with confidence.

Olivia cinched her tiny waist in with a black leather belt and printed accessories – her black and white print toecap wedges looked divine with a patterned cream bag.
She wore her brunette tresses in an I-don’t-care- updo, giving the look an extra effortless vibe, and wore her usual bronzed make-up look complete with smokey brown eyes and full lashes.
We're huge fans of Olivia's PFW look, but what do think of the navy and black combo?
We reckon us mere mortals should continue to eschew it...
