Who should play the characters in the movie version of 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' is something that's driving people to distraction. Almost as much as the 'mummy porn' novels themselves.
Now another star has thrown her hat into the ring, and although she must go down as a bit of a dark horse, Pretty Little Liars' Lucy Hale can barely conceal her desperation for a shot at taking on the role of Anastasia Steele and getting a spanking from whoever plays Christian Grey.
The actress told MTV News: “People have said that [I should be cast as Ana], but others have also said [I should star as] her little sister instead, which I think could also make sense … Because I do look a little young for Ana, but what a big role to take on! I’m really curious to see how it’s all going to [happen].”
She went on to say that she wants to move away from her background in teen television and be a bit more risque, adding: “I really am ready to take a step and do something a little more risky … but it’s a fine line,” finished Hale with a smile. “I don’t know how to review where that fine line lies, but I’m definitely ready to explore the darker side of my abilities [as an actress].”
It would be a dramatic move for the star, and her prospects could depend on just how long the movie takes to get off the ground, if its quick she may be too young to take on Steele but any delays in the movie version would make her at 23, the perfect age.
