Simon Cowell did his bit for the planet today - swapping his fuel-guzzling limo for a simple electric scooter en route to the X Factor USA auditions.
The music mogul looked like he was having a whale of a time as he left his hotel - but, in a sign that he's not ready to completely drop his showbiz lifestyle, he did have a police escort.
Wearing his trademark white T-shirt and jeans, the One Direction mastermind was on his way to join colleagues Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and LA Reid for the penultimate audition session of the show's second season.
He joked on Twitter: "No car showed up for me today...."
The coaches will soon move on to the Boot Camp stage, before learning their categories and taking them to Judges' Houses.
After that will come the eagerly-awaited Live Shows.
Last year's show was won by Melanie Amaro, mentored by Cowell.
