Elbow gave an out of this world performance at Jodrell Bank - right in the shadow of the towering Lovell telescope!
The Mercury music prize winners took to the outdoor stage on Saturday 23 June in Jodrell Bank, providing the music to the exciting event, which promised scientific demonstrations and experiments alongside a plethora of alternative and indie sounds.
The band were lucky to perform at all at the infamous Cheshire observatory as, due to adverse weather, the two day festival has been cancelled - Paul Weller's performance will go unsung.
In a statement, venue bosses explained that the adverse weather had made the site unfit to accommodate music fans:
“Regrettably due to the recent adverse weather conditions Paul Weller at Live From Jodrell Bank, Cheshire, has been cancelled. After conducting a site survey with an independent health and safety adviser and senior event management personnel the site has been deemed unfit to accommodate today’s crowds.”
