Will.i.am was left stunned on The Graham Norton Show last night (June 22) when actress Miriam Margoyles said it was nice to meet him because he is black!
The Black Eyed Peas star was shocked when Miriam, 71, began to stare at him while sitting on Graham Norton’s chat show sofa.
She said: “I‘m just fascinated by you. Unfortunately I don’t know many black people.
“We don’t get to meet across the colour line much except in showbusiness and that’s what’s so nice.”

Will.i.am appeared taken aback by the bizarre comment and was left speechless for five minutes.
Fellow guest, comic Greg Davies, desperately tried to restore the atmosphere joking: “It’s exotic.”
Host Graham tried to diffuse the situation, agreeing: “It’s lovely, Miriam, you’re right.”
But Miriam, who played Professor Sprout in two Harry Potter movies and also appeared in TV’s Blackadder, just couldn't stop putting her foot in it.
She told Will: “I don’t know much about rappers, you’re the first one I’ve actually talked to. I was in the musical Wicked and I met a lot of black people and I liked them a lot.”
This is the second time in recent weeks that Graham Norton has dealt with awkward moments on his show. Last week, Russell Brand hit out at the presenter after he questioned him about ex-wife Katy Perry.
Graham must be praying for a quiet show next Friday!
