Direcotr Sam Taylor-Wood has married her boyfriend of 22 years her junior, Kick Ass star Aaron Johnson in a secret ceremony in Somerset (June 21)
The controversial couple, who have two children together tied the knot in a gorgeous secret ceremony in Somerset yesterday.
Aaron, who was 22 last week, is an emerging actor, while Sam, 44, is a film director and artist. Aaron fell for Sam in 2009 on the set of her directorial debut, Nowhere Boy, in which he played the film's lead role of John Lennon.
They have been together ever since, ignoring criticism from outsiders.
According to The Mirror, the couple will both take the name Taylor-Johnson. Sam's wedding dress was designed by Sarah Burton, creative director of Alexander McQueen and the lady behind Kate Middleton's wedding gown. Aaron reportedly wore a bespoke suit designed by Tom Ford.
Despite the short length of their relationship, the happy couple already have two daughters, Romy Hero Johnson and Wylda Rae. Sam has two other daughters from her previous marriage to art dealer Jay Jopling - Anjelica and Jessie.
Sam and Aaron got engaged back in October 2009, before welcoming their first bundle of joy in July 2010.
Sam has been called a cougar due to Aaron being half her age, but the couple have always been determined to ignore critics. As reported by The Mirror, Sam said in an interview last year:
"In the old days 'controversial' in a relationship meant same-sex or mixed races. Now, it is a woman with a younger man. That would not happen with a man."
Aaron has said of the relationship: "I'm an old soul and she's a young soul. We don't see an age gap, we just see each other."
