The Voice UK bosses have pulled the plug on the entire concert tour planned for this year's finalists, just hours after announcing that five of the 11 dates had been scrapped.

Poor ticket sales have been blamed for the cancellations, with viewers proving unreluctant to catch Leanne Mitchell, Tyler James, Bo Bruce and Vince Kidd in an arena setting.

Ruth Brown, Jaz Ellington, Becky Hill and Max Milner were also expected to be on the line-up.

"Unfortunately, The Voice UK Live has been cancelled due to lack of ticket sales - customers are advised to contact their point of purchase for ticket refunds," a spokesperson told Digtal Spy.

Last week winner Mitchell generated negative press for failing to crack the Top 40 with her debut single, a cover of 'Run To You'.

It stalled at No. 45 and fell out of the Top 100 altogether this week, with a sales drop of almost 90%.

Runner-up Tyler James fared slightly better, earning a No. 39 debut with his version of 'Higher Love'.
