Queen of Hollywood Catherine Zeta-Jones has revealed her love for tacky holiday destination Butlin's, saying that because she's 'so down to earth' that her kids just love going to the popular British resort! Hmm...
However, the actress' routes do go back to the holiday park - as she had her first taste of fame there when she won a talent contest at Butlin's many years ago. Aaaah, and the rest is history, eh Catherine?!
In an interview with The Sun, the superstar said: “They [the kids] love going to Butlin's with my parents for long weekends.”
However, the 42 year old did add that the visits to South Wales can prove to be a bit of an odd experience...
She said: “They’ve been on the beach when it’s been horizontal rain in Swansea.
"They can’t believe it; they’re on the beach and it’s raining.”
Rain in Wales?! Never!
Catherine and 62 year old hubby Michael Douglas are one of the world's most famous showbiz couples, so it comes as a complete shock that they're so down to earth and like to mingle with us 'regular folk' on a regular basis.
She went on to say: "I'm much more down to earth than people think.
“Especially with the whole 'Hollywood royalty' name tag and the lifestyle I lead. And it's a very nice lifestyle, thanks.
"You know, I've worked very hard for it and I appreciate it, but I'm just regular old Cath.
“I'm certainly not a snob and I don't take anything for granted."
The star is currently busy promoting her new movie 'Rock Of Ages', in which she stars as a politician's wife who wants to censor all rock music on moral grounds.
Hmmm, wonder if 'regular old Cath' will be too busy to pay our local Butlin's a visit anytime soon? In between promo, maybe?
Stars gather for 'Rock Of Ages' premiere!
