31-year-old singer, Carolynne Pool who previously appeared on BBC1’s Fame Academy in 2003, wowed judges with her rendition of Miley Cyrus’ 'The Climb' during her audition on the X Factor last year.
Unfortunately for Carolynne, her X Factor journey ended abruptly at the Judge’s Houses stage of the competition when Louis Walsh decided to put through Goldie Cheung to the live finals.
When Goldie dropped out of the show, Louis again did not pick Carolynne as one of his final four, instead opting for Sami Brookes - who was then eliminated in week three of the show.
Carolynne, who also recently landed a small role in Emmerdale, auditioned once again for the singing competition at the Manchester auditions in front of Louis, Gary, Tulisa and guest judge Mel B.
Former Coronation Street star Lucy-Jo Hudson tweeted her support for Carolynne after she took to the stage, “So proud of my bezzy @CarolynnePoole tonight. She was amazing at the XFactor auditions. Fingers crossed she makes it big this year. X”
Former contestants Jade Richards, Melanie McCabe and Joe Cox have also re-auditioned for the show after failing to make the live finals of the competition last year.
Do you think Carolynne could make it to the live finals? Who would you like to see return to the show?
