Russell Brand couldn't resist poking fun at his own personal life on stage at the MTV Movie Awards last night, but we bet his ex-wife Katy Perry won't be happy, as he joked about looking out for a new wife.
The British comedian was hosting the award ceremony at the Gibson Amphitheatre last night, with the audience including stars like Charlie Sheen, Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron, but the 37-year-old didn't want to take himself too seriously.
"Last time I did an MTV show I ended up marrying someone," he said. "Tonight I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for my next wife."
But his marriage jokes didn't stop there, as he laid into Kim Kardashian and her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries.
“Kim took a lot of pressure off with her world record marriage – thanks, Kim.”
Well, we wonder if Russell managed to corner Charlize Theron at the star-studded bash, as he recently revealed that she was "amazing".
Perhaps she could be the next one?
