One Direction are used to tackling fans but yesterday they got to grips with another force down under as Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne got a surfing lesson.
The teenage heartthrobs landed in Australia earlier this week and have quickly got stuck into the Aussie way of life, taking a boat cruise around Sydney Harbour with a few beers and even sampling vegemite.
Fans didn’t seem to notice that the two lads getting a surfing lesson were in the most famous boyband on the planet and left them alone as they tried to master the waves. One Direction have been making non-stop appearances since arriving down under and were taking some time off as they prepare for their gigs later this week.
After a bit of practice the boys seemed to be making progress with both of them being able to stand up and Louis even striking some comedy poses in the water.
Liam seemed pleased with their achievements and tweeted: “me and louis just went surfing... louis was up first and for a long 1 like 30 FEET!!!!!! OMG then i stood up un two nice waves woohoo :)”
Maybe they will ditch One Direction for the life of a surfer?
