Cheryl Cole left her phone at home last night as she hit London town for a night out, to avoid drunk texting her love interest.
The Girls Aloud star, was heading out for her assistant’s birthday and in an effort to avoid any embarrassing moments announced on twitter that she was leaving her phone behind.
She tweeted: “Thinking I should leave my bag w my soba friend.. I have been known to drink and dial.. :o *bbm can't watch face* #nodrunkychezzapls.”
Clearly the 28 year-old was planning a big night out as she had previously tweeted this message to her followers: “@lily_england..*sings* Get READY tonight.. Gonna make this a night to remember..”
We wonder if the mystery man she was planning to text was Olly Murs? The cheeky singer asked the gorgeous Geordie out on the social networking site earlier this week but there has so far been no public reply.
The two would make a cute couple but their X Factor connection could make a romance difficult.
Cheryl left the UK version last year to launch the show Stateside but only lasted a few weeks before Simon Cowell sacked her.
Now, according to The Mirror manager Will.I.Am is in talks for her to host a chat show on rival channel the BBC in payback for the way she was treated.
An insider told the paper: “It’s all been tremendously exciting after Will pitched this idea and things have been moving at a rate of knots.”
“They are looking at a show in the summer which would be the ideal vehicle to relaunch Cheryl’s TV career.”
The show would inevitably clash with ITV’s flagship Saturday night show The X Factor, pitting Olly against his love interest Cheryl.
