Kimberley Walsh & Kara Tointon Bring The Glamour To Theatre Awards

As James Corden, Amanda Holden and Catherine Tate win prizes

Girls Aloud siren Kimberley Walsh and former soap star Kara Tointon lit up the red carpet last night at the Whatsonstage.com Theatre Awards.

The 'Sound Of The Underground' popstar has been enjoying a successful stint in 'Shrek: The Musical' as Princess Fiona, a role she took over from Amanda Holden in October.

Holden was among the night's winners, scooping Best Actress In A Musical, whilst former Coronation Street star Richard Fleeshman was handed Best Actor In A Musical for 'Ghost'.

Vanessa Redgrave for 'Driving Miss Daisy' and James Corden for 'One Man, Two Guvnors' were awarded Best Actress and Best Actor In A Play, whilst ex-EastEnder Nigel Harman was awarded Best Supporting Actor in a Musical for 'Shrek'.

Kerry Ellis, who will reportedly be seen on The Voice being rejected by will.i.am, Jessie J, Danny O'Donaghue and Sir Tom Jones, won an award for Best Solo Performance at 'Anthems: The Concert'.

David Tennant and Catherine Tate's post-Doctor Who reunion in 'Much Ado About Nothing' was awarded Theatre Event Of The Year. Tate also won Best Supporting Actress In A Play for 'Season's Greetings'.
