Choosing a red carpet dress is going to be stressful at the best of times, there are those who play it safe, and there are those whose choices reflect their personalities and there are those celebrities who take a risk - and it doesn't always pay off.
Last night stars including Meryl Streep, Brad Pitt, Jean Dujardin, Christina Ricci and more headed to London's Royal Opera House in Covent Garden but not all got the reaction they wanted on the red carpet.
Meryl Streep and Christina Hendricks wore Vivienne Westwood, while Michelle Williams went brave and wore a custom-made number from highstreet chain H&M.
