Sharon Osbourne has blasted Karl Lagerfeld for calling Adele “too fat” and says he should be ashamed of his comments.
The TV personality was speaking at the 'Grammy Foundation Music Preservation Project' event in Los Angeles last night and said it was a shame that people were so preoccupied with the singer’s weight.
Sharon told the Insider: “It really offends me when I read things about Adele's weight, because you know what, she has one of the greatest voices of her generation."
The 59 year-old, who herself struggled with her weight, added: "She's not a supermodel, she's not a stripper, she's not an actress, she's herself -- she is Adele.”
She also had a few choice words from Karl Lagerfeld who called the star ‘fat’ in a recent interview: “Her talent is just immense. And all the people that talk about her weight, it's like, shame on them."
The 23 year-old, who is up for six Grammy Awards this weekend herself hit back at the 'Chanel' chief designer’s comments who quickly back-tracked on his original comments.
