Chris Brown has been ordered to stay on probation for assaulting Rihanna three years ago.
The 'Turn Up The Music' singer's lawyer requested the court to put an end to the probabtion period due to "good behaviour" but a judge denied the appeal.
Brown's probation officer admitted he had "made great strides" since attacking former girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
He has also attended regular anger management classes and passed all related drug tests.
Last year a judge relaxed a restraining order which prevented the singer from being within 10 feet of Rihanna.
However this appeal has been unsuccessful and Brown will remain on probation until at least July this year.
Both stars will be appearing at the Grammys this weekend.
