Madonna played to a worldwide audience of millions last night as she took to the stage for the Super Bowl XLVI half-time show.

500 crew members took just seven minutes to set up the stage as the New York Giants and New England Patriots broke off from the game. Kicking off with the classic hit 'Vogue', Madonna's set was a combination of greatest hits as well as a first live performance of her new single 'Give Me All Your Luvin'.

Madge was joined onstage by Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. for that song with M.I.A. appearing to flash her middle finger at the camera. NBC and NFL have both apologised for the incident and any offence caused.

Later in the set, Madonna was joined by LMFAO for 'Music' mashed up with their hits 'Sexy and I Know It' and 'Party Rock Anthem' before Cee-Lo Green appeared to help sing 'Like A Prayer'.

As the twelve minute show ended the phrase 'World Peace' was projected onto the pitch in front of Madonna.
