Alesha Dixon is thought to have fox-trotted off Strictly Come Dancing after Simon Cowell offered her triple the amount she was getting for the BBC One show, according to reports.
With the BBC officially announcing that Alesha had quit the show yesterday (Jan 2), the Mirror has revealed that £350,000 was just too tempting for Alesha to turn down and will therefore join Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and David Walliams on the Britain's Got Talent panel when it returns later this year.
However, Alesha's rep has denied that her move to ITV1 is about money, insisting: "Three years is a long time on one show and she wanted to keep the end of this year clear for her new album. Much as she loved doing Strictly, it is time to move on.
"This is not about the money. Doing Strictly every Saturday night for 15 weeks was a huge commitment and this will free her up for other things."
Speaking about her new job on BGT, Alesha revealed: "I am delighted to be joining the judging panel of Britain’s Got Talent for 2012, it's a fantastic show and I am very excited to be working with Simon, David and Amanda on the search for a new star."
What do you think? Who should replace Alesha on Strictly Come Dancing?
