If Big Brother wasn't being resurrected, then it was the instant fame a selection of gypsies found themselves having following the hit Channel 4 show, Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. Who can forget the amount of complaints BBC One soap Eastenders received over the baby swap storyline between Ronnie Branning (Samantha Womack) and Alfie and Kat Moon (Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace)?
What about Simon Cowell's announcement that he was quitting the X Factor to launch the show in America and taking Cheryl Cole with him...Only to change his mind weeks into filming and axing her...
2011 was also a big year for Amy Childs who cut The Only Way Is Essex chains to show the nation the true Amy Childs on Celebrity Big Brother. Mark Wright soon followed suit by leaving the show and entering the I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here jungle.
And Frankie Cocozza made X Factor history for getting axed from the shoe during the live finals after he was caught boasting about taking drugs.
