Little Mix were last night crowned winners of the X Factor 2011, but their ride to victory hasn't been a smooth one...
Having all auditioned as solo artists, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirlwall very nearly didn't make it past bootcamp. However the four girls were all given a second chance when they were put together and told to form a girl band.
Could four girls who had never met come together in a short space of time and look like they've been together for years? Of course they could!
With the group formed, it was time to choose a name and the girls settled on Rhythmix. However they couldn't get too comfortable as a charity with the same name, demanded they change it and so Little Mix were born.
By this time, the girls were getting stronger and each week were providing to be an act to be reckoned with. As the finals approached, it was questioned whether Little Mix could become the first girl band in the history of the X Factor to win the show...
And the rest they say is history...
