Zooey Deschanel insists she is still good friends with her ex-husband 'Death Cab for Cutie' star Ben Gibbard.
Most couples are at each-other's throats so soon after a break-up but Zooey claims this is not the case following the announcement of their amicable split last month after two years of marriage.
She told People magazine: “We're friendly. It's all fine.”
Their last public engagement before the split had been in September, and there was no sign of a problem then. A source told the magazine at the time: “They appeared happy and he seemed supportive as she did interviews to promote her new Fox show."
But the 'New Girl' actress is coy about a reconciliation with 35 year-old Ben and is concentrating on her new nephew instead. Her sister, 'Lovely Bones' star Emily Deschanel gave birth to her first child, baby Henry in September and Zooey admits she is crazy about the little guy.
She said: "I'm a little clueless around babies. But I'm obsessed with my nephew. He's so cute."
The brunette doesn't have too much time to spend with the youngster though, as she juggles both a successful movie career and performing with her band 'She & Him'.
