Johnny Depp had to be dragged away from fans during the premiere of his new film The Rum Diary, because he wouldn't stop signing autographs.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor, who attended the New York Premiere of The Rum Diary, was forced away from his screaming fans because he was running late on his schedule.
Directed by Bruce Robinson, the man behind Withnail & I, The Rum Diary looks into the life of struggling journalist Paul Kemp who travels to Puerto Rico to write for a run-down newspaper.
With Johnny Depp portraying Kemp, The Rum Diary will concentrate on a man whose life evolves around rum and a woman named Chenault.
The film is said to relate to Robinson's life as a 22-year-old and his own experiences as a struggling writer.
The Rum Diary which also stars Amber Heard, Aaron Eckhardt, Giovanni Ribisi and Richard Jenkis, will be released November 4.
