But not Ross and Rachel style...

Take That fans were panicking left, right and centre when Gary Barlow said that Robbie had left the band for a second time, but now the group's representatives have said that they are just all "on a break".

The new X Factor judge has said that Robbie's stint with the group "ended perfectly", and the 40-year-old said that the door is open for a return whenever he feels like it, once he's finished his solo material.

In an interview with the Radio Times, Barlow said: "It was beautiful. We got on well. We finished the tour. We're all happy,. The fans have come along and been happy. Great, great, great, great, great. Now Rob's doing a solo record, and from this point it's back to where it was."

Barlow claimed that if it didn't work out for Robbie on his solo venture, there would be no problem for a return, as he added: "You know what, we can revisit it whenever we want. "He's our brother, Rob is, and if he's ever in trouble or he wants to have a year off being Robbie Williams, he's welcome any time he wants."

After 16 years apart, Take That announced that they were reforming as a five-piece for the Progress Live 2011 tour, which was said to be worth £50 million.

A spokesperson for the group told Entertainmentwise: "I can confirm that the band are not splitting and there is no pending announcement of a split. The band are on a break, Gary is doing X Factor and Robbie is working on his new solo album."

Meanwhile, as we reported Robbie's representative told us earlier today:"He (Robbie) has been clear for quite some time that he would be working on a brand new solo album after the Take That tour, and that is what he is doing."
