The dress code for the red carpet of the MET Institute Costume Gala, held in NYC, isn't like your usual awards ceremony dress code, oh no, instead the annual MET Institute Costume Gala is where our favourite celebrities get to experiment a little....remember Rihanna's outfit last year?
Luckily however, celebrities such as Ashley Greene Eva Mendes, Lea Michele and Gwyneth Paltrow all stuck to what suits them best.
With the added accessory of a baby bump, both Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba looked stunning in flowing ivory coloured floor length gowns.
The likes of Blake Lively, Ashley Greene, Emma Roberts, Gwyneth Paltrow and Renee Zellweger also went for light colours, whilst Lea Michele and Giselle Bunchen decided to stand out and where red.
And the guys? Well Colin Firth kept it simple and smart in a black tux.
