These Lot Can't Just Sing...They Can Act Too!

With Katy Perry taking her first steps into acting by providing the voice of Smurfette in the upcoming Smurfs film, Muveez and Entertainmentwise have taken a look at some other singers who have decided to beat the door down to Hollywood.

Up to fifty years ago, in a world of light entertainment, it was perfectly normal for the pop stars of the time to start off in music and then work their way up to Hollywood movies - a move that proved successful for Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and many more.

However, that trend slowed down in the 1960's, and it wasn't really until Madonna threw her hat into the acting ring at the end of the 1980's that we saw the old ways return.

Now, they're all at it - Will Smith, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, J.Lo, Justin Timberlake and now Justin Bieber, all trying to spread their fanbase beyond the CDs, downloads, and live shows.
