Katie Waissel has been a tabloid dream ever since she took to the stage looking like Like A Virgin-era Madonna at the first round of X Factor auditions – and proceeded forget the lyrics to Queen's We Will Rock You.
Since then, she's been put through to the live finals by Cheryl Cole after messing up her version of Charlie Chaplin's Smile and bursting into tears at the 'Judge's House' stage. Meanwhile, favourite Gamu didn't get through, despite delivering a near faultless audition.
There was also the discovery that the 24-year-old already had a record contract in America, which would normally disqualify a contestant from the competition. However, some legal wrangling later and she was able to continue.
Oh, and there's the almost daily tales of drama queen behaviour and behind-the-scenes meltdowns.
Yes, there's never been an X Factor contestant quite like Katie Waissel. We'll leave it up to you to decide whether that's a good thing!
