It was film premiere galore last night as stars turned out for the New York premiere of The Runaways.

The film, which is a biographical drama about 70's all girl rock band The Runaways, stars Kristen Stewart playing the role of Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning playing Cherie Currie.

And the two stars of the film definitely stole the show with their red carpet choices: KStew opted for a short and strapless metallic dress and Dakota decided a nude colour dress would suit her perfectly.

Both Joan Jett and Cherie Currie appeared on the red carpet to support the girls who played them so well in the film.
