The usually awkward looking Kristen Stewart was all smiles on the red carpet for the premiere of her new film The Runaways.

The upbeat Kristen was joined on the red carpet by co-star and new friend Dakota Fanning, and rock legend Joan Jett.

The Runaways is a biographic tale of the American girl band's rise to fame.

Kristen who plays the part of iconic The Runaways singer Joan Jett, shunned her rocker image for the night and dressed in a girly pink dress.

And if Kristen’s smiles are anything to go by- we can not wait to see the film.
