The rumours that a split was on the cards have been flying about for the past few weeks, but Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were keen to put them to rest as they attended a black tie do together at the weekend.
Brad had been asked to attend the Director's Guild of America Awards to present his friend Quentin Tarantino with a plaque for being nominated for an award. Angelina was not expected to attend but the recent questions over their relationship may have encouraged her to join Brad.
A guest told People magazine: “They looked very giggly. They look like they are having a fun time. It's definitely a date.”
Brad and Angelina have kept their distance from the awards circuit this year, perhaps to avoid a confrontation with Brad's ex Jennifer Aniston.
