Miley Cyrus could hardly disguise her joy as she showed off her new puppy, Mate, yesterday.
The Hannah Montana star cradled the nine-week old German Shepherd in her arms on a shopping trip in West Hollywood.
Dressed in a casual denim shirt and black biker boots, the 16-year-old flashed a smile for nearby photographers.
Miley Cyrus was all smiles as she carried Mate on a shopping trip.
The singer revealed recently that she had decided on the name Mate because her Australian boyfriend Liam Hemsworth frequently used the world.
Miley might still be able to carry the dog now, but in a blog post she said she was already thinking about what she would do when the dog grew to its full size.
“It's so great that Mate is a puppy so I can take him everywhere but it won’t be long until he’s his full size!” she wrote.
“He’s a German Shepard and will get up to 125 lbs! Ahhh! It’ll be a bit more difficult to fit him in my Prius haha!”
