Jessica Simpson isn't Gerard Butler's latest romantic conquest, according to new reports.
The pair set tongues wagging after they were spotted dining together at Soho House in New York on Tuesday night.
Page Six quoted a 'spy' as saying: "They were at a table with friends, but Jessica and Gerard, who sat next to each other, seemed to only be interested in each other and chatted for hours. They were laughing and flirting and eventually left together, along with Ken (Paves)."
Whilst reps for both parties have declined to comment on the nature of their relationship, an insider insists to Us magazine that there's “nothing romantic there at all."
According to RadarOnline, Jess and Gerard have a mutual friend in the singer's make up artist Jeanna Robinette.
“Jeanna and Gerard are friends, which is how he was introduced to Jessica,” says their source. “They all had dinner together last week, too.”
That's a shame - we thought 'Butson' would make for a fun couple.
