Lindsay Lohan has hit back at her father after he announced plans to intervene in his daughter's life.
Earlier this month, Michael Lohan told RadarOnline Lindsay was in a “serious” situation amid tabloid reports she had become reliant on prescription drugs.
In another interview, he also claimed there was “nothing left” of his daughter – and described her as a “hollow, hollow person”.
Speaking to Us magazine, Lindsay, 23, said she felt “hurt” by her father's comments and claimed not to have spoken to him since her home was burgled in August.
"I have not spoken to my father, nor have I responded to his threatening and erratic messages over the last several months," she said.
"It's so sad that he needs to stay in the media spotlight by using my name and making up excessive lies.
“He should instead try to be a real father."
The actress sparked fears on Monday when she appeared looking washed-out and glassy-eyed at the Whitney Museum Gala in New York.
Meanwhile, an 18-year-old man was yesterday charged with burgling the actress's home in Los Angeles earlier this year.
