Jessica Simpson has spoken for the first time following the disappearance of her dog, Daisy.
The caramel coloured malti poo was snatched from Simpson's Los Angeles home in September by a wild coyote.
Despite a week-long search, which included the help of pet detectives, the animal was never recovered.
The 29-year-old singer told Us Weekly that she was still finding it difficult to come to terms with the dog's disappearance.
"Daisy meant the world to me. I hold her memory very, very close,” Simpson said.
“It was an unfortunate thing what happened. That I don't have her every day... It's a very hard thing to talk about."
Earlier this week, Simpson called for people to respect the dog's memory after it emerged members of her family had been contacted by people claiming to have found Daisy.
Meanwhile, Simpson told Us Weekly that she had not yet thought about replacing the dog.
"I haven't really thought about another dog yet, but maybe sometime," she said. "[Daisy] would want that."
