Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle was greeted by dozens of fans as she arrived at Los Angeles International Airport on Saturday.

The 48-year-old Scot has jetted to the US to make a special appearance on the final of America's Got Talent.

Boyle, who looked stunned by her reception, managed to wave to fans and members of the paparazzi.

She is due to sing a cover of The Rolling Stones' Wild Horses on America's Got Talent, which begins tonight.

Susan Boyle is mobbed as she arrives in Los Angeles.

It is the first song to be taken from Boyle's debut album, which is released in November.

The album is already top of the Amazon best selling pre-sale chart ahead of releases by Jay-Z, Whitney Houston and The Beatles.

Boyle shot to fame earlier this year when her performance on Britain's Got Talent became a worldwide hit on YouTube.

She eventually came runner up in the competition to dance act Diversity.
