Despite her deteriorating condition, Jade took part in publicity deals which would help ensure the future of her young sons. Jade died in her sleep in the early hours of 22 March 2009. In an interview with OK! magazine before her death she wanted to remembered as a "mouthy bird... The one who irritated and entertained people in equal measure".
