Jessica Simpson has revealed she was caught up in the earthquake that struck Japan in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The singer, who arrived in the country last weekend, said she felt like she was “hallucinating” during the tremor, which measured 6.6 on the Richter scale.
"I have never felt anything like this in my life,” she wrote. “Laying in bed watching CNN."
At least 70 people are thought to have been injured after the earthquake struck Japan's Tsuruga Bay in southwest Tokyo shortly after 5am local time.
A number of major motorways were closed and train services in the city were also cancelled.
