Amy Winehouse is working to make the Caribbean her permanent home, according to reports.
The singer has apparently applied for permanent resident status on the island of St Lucia, which has acted has her second home since December.
A local official told the News of the World authorities were “aware” that Winehouse was looking to move full time to the island.
A source added: "Amy loves St Lucia and never wants to leave. She thinks the island has done her the world of good and she's writing more than ever."
Until December, Winehouse spent much of her time between houses in Camden, North London, and Bow in the east of the city.
But the singer is understood to have enjoyed the tranquillity of the Caribbean island over recent months.
The Rehab star is currently recording her third album.
