Twilight star Cam Gigandet has agreed to appear in a new vampire movie, according to reports.
The actor, who played James in Twilight, will star in Priest alongside Paul Bettany.
The movie tells the story of a world where man is engaged in a bloody war with a murderous plague of vampires.
Gigandet, who is part vampire, allies himself with a warrior priest (Bettany) who leaves the church after his niece is kidnapped by vampires.
The film will be produced by Michael De Luca, Josh Donen and Mitchell Peck, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
As previously reported on Entertainmentwise, Gigandet won the MTV Movie Award for Best Fight last week for his Twilight fight scene with Robert Pattinson.
Pattinson told MTV his scene with the actor had "made me feel really tough, really hard”.
“I don't think I've ever won a fight in my life. It was cool," he added.
