Peter Andre is ready to move into a new £1.8million home – just weeks after his split from wife Katie Price.
The singer is said to have fast-tracked contracts on the property in Hove, which is just 41 miles from his marital home in Surrey.
The house includes a swimming pool and gym facilities, and is also being made child-friendly, so Peter can take care of his disabled step-son, Harvey.
A source told the Daily Mirror: "The builders were in yesterday putting gates around the pool and tub and ensuring Harvey is well looked after in terms of wheelchair access.”
The 36-year-old singer was apparently left distraught after he was banned by Katie from attending Harvey's 7th birthday on Wednesday.
According to the newspaper, Peter will be renting the property initially, but has the right to buy after six months.
The couple, who announced their split at the beginning of May, have already started divorce proceedings.
They have two children together, Junior, 3, and Princess Tiaamii, 1, while Harvey is Katie's from a previous relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke.
