Friends of Danielle Lloyd were not surprised to hear that the model had been attacked in a London night club, a source has claimed.
Danielle underwent emergency surgery following an incident at the Crystal Club in the early hours of Monday morning.
The altercation, believed to involve two other women, came less than a month after the model was reportedly punched by a female clubber at another night spot.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, an unnamed source said: “To be honest, no one is surprised that this has happened.
“It is shocking to see blood but Dani has almost come to blows before now."
The source added that Danielle was now looking to keep a lower profile.
“She won’t be seen out for a while now and she will have a bodyguard,” the source added.
As Entertainmentwise reported earlier, the surgeon who operated on Danielle has revealed that the model's injuries nearly left her paralysed.
Danielle was enjoying a night out with friends, including footballer boyfriend Jamie O'Hara, when the incident took place on Monday.
Two unnamed women, believed to be in their 20s, have been questioned by police on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
They have been bailed until July.
