Cameron Diaz has been pictured on a lunch date with Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine, sparking rumours of a romance between the pair.

Cameron, who split from model Paul Sculfor earlier this month, smiled at Adam as they ate at Chateau Marmont over the weekend.

Despite their luxury surroundings, the pair both dressed casually for the occasion in blue denim jeans.

Cameron has enjoyed a burst of romances since she ended her four relationship with Justin Timberlake in January 2007.

As well as Paul Sculfor, the Hollywood actress also had a short-lived relationship with John Mayer.

Adam is also not one for the single life.

The singer is believed to have romanced some of Hollywood's biggest names, including Kristen Dunst and Natalie Portman.

Paris Hilton and tennis player Maria Sharapova are also said to have succumbed the singer's charms.
