Miley Cyrus has hit out at Perez Hilton, accusing the celebrity blogger of being “mean”.

The Hannah Montana teen star said she didn't sympathise with Perez's job – and said his bullying tactics reminded her of school.

"That can be painful. That's just a mean person,” she told the Daily Mail.

“I don't know how old he is, but taking it out on me is a little strange. It's like going back to high school.

"I get to travel and go to London and Paris, while this person sits by the computer writing mean things about me. I'd rather be the one travelling."

Miley's comments come just days after she launched a stinging attack on gossip websites at a press conference in London.

She said the websites were “all trash” and had a bad influence on children.
