Jennifer Aniston is reportedly feeling raw at the realisation that she and John Mayer never really had a 'real' relationship, say insiders.

The former Friends star - who allegedly dumped John over his incessant Twittering - is said to be feeling hurt and confused over the couple's breakup, even though it seemed to be a long time coming.

A source tells US Weekly magazine, "She would never have paraded him around like that [at the Oscars] if she didn't think what they had was real.

"She feels like he played her.

"Her friends are trying to be sympathetic, but it’s a little hard because they warned her."

Rumours behind the couple's split range from Jen saying Brad Pitt's name between the sheets to Jen's obsession with her physical appearance to John's immaturity and love for micro-site Twitter.
