Demi Moore, Jane Fonda and Martha Stewart have all taken to the web to express condolences to the family of Natasha Richardson.
Twitter - an online micro-blog site where users send small messages and updates of about 140 characters - has seen celebrities status updates take on a sombre tone to express messages of support for Natasha's grieving family.
Demi and Martha both updated their Twitter pages on Wednesday with messages of sympathy for Natasha's husband Liam Neeson, sons Micheal Richard Antonio, 13, and Daniel Jack, 12, sister Joely Richardson, mother Vanessa Redgrave and aunt Lynn Redgrave.

"I am sending out prayers for Natasha Richardson and her family. A real reminder of how precious life is and how quickly it can be gone..." Demi wrote yesterday.
Jane also wrote a message of support on her official blog:
"I first met her on the set of “Julia.” She was a little girl but already beautiful and graceful. It didn’t surprise me that she became such a talented actor.
I wanted to go to the Lennox Hill Hospital where I was
told she had been taken to see if there was anything I could do for Vanessa, any comfort I could bring but today was a two-show day and as the curtain went up tonight I heard the tragic news.
It is hard to even imagine what it must be like for her family. My heart is heavy."
Natasha, 45, died yesterday morning after a skiing trip in Canada left the star with severe brain injuries.
