Britney Spears Faces Another Backlash Over Obscene New Single

Britney Spears has been accused of violating broadcast indecency law with saucy new single If You Seek Amy.

Bosses at the Parents Television Council in the U.S. are upset that Brit's tune - which contains an invitation to "F*CK Me" - is getting airplay on radio stations.

PTC president Tim Winter says, "There is no misinterpreting the lyrics to this song, and it's certainly not about a girl named Amy.

"It's one thing for a song with these lyrics to be included on a CD so that fans who wish to hear it can do so, but it's an entirely different matter when this song is played over the publicly owned airwaves, especially at a time when children are likely to be in the listening audience."

The PTC officials want radio stations to stop playing the song between the hours of 6am and 10pm, because it "violates the broadcast indecency law".

Rumour has it that Brit's record company are planning on dropping the 'k' from 'Seek' in a bid to clean up the track.

A spokesperson for Britney's record company told Entertainmentwise, "There are a few ideas at the moment of how to change it before we go to radio with it, but none confirmed."
