Jennifer Hudson is reportedly warming up her vocal chords in preparation to perform for President-elect Barack Obama.
The all round performer - whose mother Darnell Donnerson, nephew Julian King and brother Jason Hudson were brutally murdered in October - is said to have been offered the opportunity to sing at Obama's inauguration.
"Organizers want Jennifer to sing The Star-Spangled Banner at the Inauguration on Jan. 20," a source tells Page Six.
"They are talking to Jennifer about it. It would be the first time she performed since the murders. She is from Chicago and a huge Obama supporter."
Jennifer sang the national anthem at the Democratic National Convention in Denver in August, two months before the murders took place.
