I think it´s really great that they want their children to make presents to each other by themselves. In that way the children learn to appreaciate the real meaning of Christmas. I hate the commercial side of this holiday. It makes people crazy when they go from one store to the other. Brad and Angie are instilling the right values to their children from an early age.

The idea of making gifts is nice but by simply avoiding toy commercials, they are also avoiding a problem. Their children should be able to not ask for many toys even if they are exposed to these advertisements. When I was a kid, I like many of the children I babysit for, are fully aware of all the kinds of products out there but they recognize that they can't get everything they ask for. They will ask for things once in a while but don't take it hard when their parents say no.
