OJ Simpson: Former American footballer OJ Simpson found notoriety in 1994 when he was tried and aquitted for the murder of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman in what was dubbed the ‘Trial of the century.’ In 2006 he wrote a first-person fictional account of the murder (had he actually committed it) entitled ‘If I Did It.’ Perhaps not surprisingly, his publishers had second thoughts and withdrew the book before its release.
