Katie Holmes has confessed that she wouldn't have made it through her Broadway performance without the support of her hubby Tom Cruise.

The Eli Stone star has received numerous visits from her number one fan since she began performing on Broadway in Arthur Miller's All My Sons.

Katie tells Entertainment Tonight, "He's been here, and he's just made me so good.

"I was so nervous, and I saw him and it made me feel so much better."

Co-star John Lithgow adds, "Tom has been a very loyal spouse...I think tonight must have been his 8th or 9th time."

Tom was forced to enter through the back entrance on opening night yesterday because of Scientology protesters.
