After the ‘will she’ or ‘won’t she’ speculation, it seems that Britney Spears won't be a feature of this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
The singer’s unforgettable performance last year made her the talk of the show – and not in a good way.
But her manager, Larry Rudolph, says that she won't be attempting to put that screeching train-wreck of a performance behind her by taking to the stage at this year's show.
“Britney Spears will not be performing at the VMAs this year. I’m telling you officially and unequivocally,” said Rudolph.
A rep for Brit's label confirms the disappointing news.
“Contrary to media reports, Britney was never slated to perform on this year’s VMAs.
"She’s in the middle of recording her next album, which is going amazingly well, and her focus remains on the studio,” insists spokeswoman, Gina Orr.
Meanwhile, Brit's comeback continues apace with a video cameo for Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet tour - and a hot new bod!
